Sebastian is underrated, change my mind

Hey folks, Household incomes average around $68,863 in Sebastian. With a population of 25,759, Sebastian is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Sebastian sits at 72.4 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,759 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Low crime in most areas
- Walkable downtown
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
Thoughts? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely challenging and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (South) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The cultural scene is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
