Dog-friendly places in Security-Widefield?

OK so Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $83,916 in Security-Widefield. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Is this normal for Security-Widefield?

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in legal. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 9 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Riverside area are solid. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The school system is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 12 years. Moved from Tampa for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Homeless population growing downtown. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 5/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
