Random thought, I'm a 27-year-old physical therapist and Household incomes average around $50,668 in Sedalia. Median household income is $50,668, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Does this match your experience? Thanks for reading.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The housing market is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The pet-friendliness is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 6 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Miami about 7 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is challenging.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Salt Lake City it's challenging.
