Sedona is underrated, change my mind

Random thought, I work in real estate and With a population of 9,770, Sedona is a small town. Rent is about $1,421/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $708,400 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from New York about 7 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
