Moving to Selden -what should I know?

Curious what people think. Poverty rate is 5.9%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,282/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 21,707 people. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to New York it's improving.
