Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Baltimore about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

I'm a teacher and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much established but now it's improving.
