OK so I work in hospitality and The median home value here is around $161,100, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 25.9%, which is higher than I expected. Rent is about $824/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $161,100 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
