Rent vs buy in Seven Points -what makes sense?

With a population of 1,287, Seven Points is a small town. You can expect to pay around $717 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great. Appreciate any input. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
