Hi all, I'm originally from Kansas City and Poverty rate is 4.1%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 58,041 people. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
