Honest thoughts on life in Severna Park

Hey folks, The median home value here is around $633,600, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $1,617 for rent here. With a population of 39,499, Severna Park is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $633,600 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What do you all think? Any help is appreciated. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Hope this helps!.
