Is it worth buying in Sevierville?

Hey everyone, I'm a 34-year-old contractor and With a population of 18,105, Sevierville is a small town. Household incomes average around $55,106 in Sevierville. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 18,105 people. The median home value here is around $264,000, which seems about average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Low taxes
- Easy commute
- Lots of new development
- Walkable downtown
- Active local events

Cons:
- Hot summers
- High property taxes
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. I've lived in Eastside for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons
- The weather scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
