I've lived in Eastside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community
- The school system scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

I work in finance here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is excellent. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
