Couple moving to Seymour from out of state

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $85,240 in Seymour. Crime rate is something to consider -Seymour sits at 557.6 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.5%, which is pretty low. With a population of 15,914, Seymour is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
