Things that make Shaker Heights unique

OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Shaker Heights sits at 217.0 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I wrong here? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is challenging in most areas.
