Things that make Shamokin Dam unique

Curious what people think. I'm a teacher here and Crime rate is something to consider -Shamokin Dam sits at 116.1 per 100K.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Definitely worth checking out..
