Anyone regret moving to Sharonville?

Curious what people think. We have two kids and Rent is about $1,129/month for a decent place. Median household income is $70,781, which feels about average for the area. It's a a small town city with about 13,989 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely decent and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Uptown for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- The community vibe scene is solid

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely tough and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (East) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
