Best restaurants in Shasta Lake?

Random thought, I'm a 40-year-old writer and It's a a small town city with about 10,334 people. Poverty rate is 9.9%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Shasta Lake sits at 667.2 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks! Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I work in real estate here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is tough. Hope this helps!.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Phoenix about 6 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are affordable, gas is decent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.
