Quick question about Shasta Lake

Hey everyone, Homes are going for about $273,000 on average. With a population of 10,334, Shasta Lake is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much wild but now it's average.
