Hi all, I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $773 for rent here. Average temperature is around 44--F, so bundle up in winter. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What would you do?

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The food scene is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in South for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- The traffic scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
