Relocating to Shawnee, KS -pros and cons?

Hey, I'm originally from Portland and The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $106,312 in Shawnee. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots? TIA! There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is solid in most areas.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The school system is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
