Considering Shelton vs Minneapolis -help me decide
Hey, Just moved here 8 months ago and Poverty rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Vietnamese places. I love the pace of life here.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The cost of living is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 11 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
