Best neighborhoods to rent in Shelton?

Hello, You can expect to pay around $1,298 for rent here. Median household income is $60,589, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 10 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
