Working in Shelton -salaries realistic?

First post here. Born and raised here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Portland about 4 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from San Diego about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is tough.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
