Remote worker thinking about Shepherdsville

First post here. I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $202,300, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 14,351, Shepherdsville is a small town. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What would you do?

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Meadowbrook area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Fairview for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The community vibe scene is improving

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
