Alright, I'm retired and Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Sunset. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in tech. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Thai.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
