Is Sherwood a good place to live?

I'm single, late 30s, and Rent is about $1,011/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots? Cheers.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely average and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (East) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Seattle about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
