Affordable areas near Sherwood?

So, With a population of 20,227, Sherwood is a small town. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
