How is Sherwood for outdoor activities?

You can expect to pay around $1,967 for rent here. Am I wrong here?

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Greenfield for 12 years. Moved from San Diego for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Can feel isolated. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 9/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is decent in most areas.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 4 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.
