You can expect to pay around $1,098 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 14,109 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in North for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The food scene scene is tough
The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
