Been meaning to ask this. Crime rate is something to consider -Shiloh sits at 153.2 per 100K.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Highland for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good airport with direct flights
- The safety scene is improving
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..
