Is Shiremanstown worth moving to in 2026?

Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and Median household income is $69,505, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 3 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2024 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
