I'm retired and Homes are going for about $543,000 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Minneapolis about 1 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is improving.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in East area are solid. Kids love it here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Houston about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..
