Moving to Shreveport for work — advice?

Hi all, Rent is about $980/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think?

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
