Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Houston about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are affordable, gas is decent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
