Curious what people think. The median home value here is around $256,600, which seems about average. With a population of 44,500, Sicklerville is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $256,600 on average. Rent is about $1,561/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The safety is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The outdoor recreation scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Miami about 3 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
