Should I move to Sienna or stay in Cleveland?

Hello, The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 70--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $2,853/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What do you all think? Cheers. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I work in hospitality here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is challenging. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 4 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a sales manager, 43, moved here 10 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Midtown and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The safety situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for singles. decent vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt challenging. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $50K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The walkability is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely tough and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Bugs and humidity in summer.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
