Alright, I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $1,585/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thoughts? Appreciate any input. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've been in Fairview for 11 years. Moved from Salt Lake City for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.
**Employment:**
finance is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Limited shopping options. And weather can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
