Best areas to explore in Silver Spring?

I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 82,129 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any advice would be great. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Cedar Grove. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
