Freelancing from Silverdale -experience?

Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 20s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Silverdale sits at 156.8 per 100K. The median home value here is around $507,600, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks! The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Eastside area are underrated. Kids love it here.
