Is it worth buying in Silverthorne?

Alright, My family moved here when I was a kid. Median household income is $114,185, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 4,657 people. Homes are going for about $691,300 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Growing food scene
- Lots of new development
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
Am I wrong here? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 14 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
