Rent prices in Sioux City getting crazy

Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in Sioux City? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $936 for a studio which feels okay for the area.

Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Southside and Downtown are perfectly safe.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

As someone who moved here from Phoenix, I can confirm most of this. The friendliness of people surprised me the most.

Coming from Seattle, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

If you can afford it, Eastside is the best place to live. Period.
