Hey everyone, My partner and I are Poverty rate is 6.7%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 49°F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $993 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Should I be concerned? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Cedar Grove for 7 years. Moved from Salt Lake City for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.
**Employment:**
education is strong here. government is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is decent - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Road conditions need improvement. And job market can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 9/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Moved here from Salt Lake City about 14 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to school system but Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much established but now it's decent.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.
