Should I move to Slidell or stay in San Diego?
So, I work in hospitality and With a population of 28,664, Slidell is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $207,800, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $66,657, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. Would love some local perspective. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
