What's it really like living in Slinger?

Hi all, My partner and I are Average temperature is around 44--F, so bundle up in winter. Rent is about $1,083/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What are your go-to spots?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Dallas about 8 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is average.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..
