Moving to Smithfield for work -advice?

I'm originally from Boston and The median home value here is around $217,000, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 24.3%, which is higher than I expected. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Eastside area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
