The good and bad of living in Smithfield

First post here. Born and raised here. Homes are going for about $406,300 on average. It's a a small town city with about 14,033 people. The median home value here is around $406,300, which is pretty steep. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Diverse community
- Lots of new development
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Poor road conditions
- Not enough green space
There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
