Internet providers in Smithsburg?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a 39-year-old physical therapist and Household incomes average around $86,065 in Smithsburg. It's a a small town city with about 3,069 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Smithsburg sits at 33.7 per 100K. With a population of 3,069, Smithsburg is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely challenging and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Old Town) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in South for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights
- The food scene scene is decent

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 12 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
