So, I've been here for 7 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Smithtown sits at 22.0 per 100K. Homes are going for about $661,400 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Thanks! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
