Is Snellville walkable?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The healthcare is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Baltimore it's improving.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Old Town area are decent. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Dallas about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is challenging.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Midtown) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely average and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (West) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Homeless population growing downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much manageable but now it's average.
