Couple moving to Snyderville from out of state

Curious what people think. Military spouse here. With a population of 6,143, Snyderville is a small town. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Anyone in a similar situation?

I've lived in Oak Park for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The outdoor recreation scene is solid

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Boston it's better than expected.

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Denver it's improving.
